ATTEND A VIRTUAL BEER FEST: Beer52 Christmas Party & Beer Tasting

This Saturday and Sunday, the UK’s biggest craft beer club will host two festive evenings of high-octane online entertainment. Beer52 is laying on music, comedy, short films and a couple of celebrity cameos – and ticket holders will also receive a box of 12 craft beers from brewers such as Pomona Island, New Bristol Brewery and Two Tribes. Tickets are £34.99 a night, or £64.99 for a weekend pass.

Harrods gained a barbershop this week. Head to the second-floor Adam Grooming Atelier for a luxury haircut or treatment in traditional Turkish-inspired surrounds. TRY UNIQUE FUSION CUISINE: Manteca x Supa Ya Dinner Club

This Sunday, Chris Leach of Soho restaurant Manteca will welcome Luke Findlay of underground cult supper club ‘Supa Ya Ramen’ into his kitchen for a one-off ticketed event. The pair will serve Italian-Asian fusion dishes, including crispy fried shiitake with kimchi sausage and spicy pig tail buns; hot noodles with pork and parmesan; and tomato broth with sesame miso and pickled chilli. Alongside, diners can choose from dirty martinis, sake white negronis or kimchi bloody marys, and there’s a selection of natural wines. Tickets cost £35, with some proceeds going to the Magic Breakfast charity.

ENJOY A LIVE SHOW: Clapham Grand

To celebrate its 120th birthday, the Clapham Grand is hosting socially distanced Christmas shows throughout December. This Saturday, there’s a morning screening of Love Actually with a boozy brunch, before a drag queen bottomless brunch on Sunday. Bookmark 17th December when the venue welcomes British pop-rock band The Hoosiers.

If you’re in south London, head down to the Cardboard Unit in Brixton Village to support a drive-by fundraiser for the community. Until Friday 18th December, you can drop off long-life food and drink items – and shoes – or make a contactless cash donation via the tap-to-donate card reader. All proceeds will go to Brixton food bank Compliments of the House and Re:Sole, which gives shoes to the homeless.

SHOP CULT NEW THREADS: Wavey Garms XXXmas Pop Up

Cult vintage streetwear seller Wavey Garms opened its Christmas pop-up in Soho’s Walker's Court this week. Until Christmas Eve, it’s taken over two retail units to host over 20 vintage sports and streetwear sellers including Sports Banger. Shoppers can browse art exhibitions and vinyl collections, while listening to DJs from nightclubs Fabric and Fold. Live music streams throughout the event will raise money for homeless charity Centrepoint.
