Look for a medium pile and avoid any non-synthetic fibres that add unwanted shine. 02 ## Look For Structure Structure is the thing that holds a look together. A good one will also make styling easy – for example, a well-cut overshirt or blazer will only need a simple white tee to look sharp. 03 ## Try A Two Piece A cord suit is more wearable than you might think – and a great alternative for less formal dress codes. If that feels too much, a cord shirt with matching trousers is a great casual option – just add trainers and a white tee. 04 ## Style With A Stripe A stripe can go a long way at this time of year. Mixing one in with cord is another clever styling combo. Wear a simple stripe tee under a cord blazer or try a chunky stripe knit with loose cords and trainers. 05 ## Mix With Denim Cord isn’t just an alternative to denim. They can work well together as a pair. Contrast traditional blue denim with cord in earthy khaki tones for a contemporary look. 06 ## Always Size Up Cord always looks cooler oversized – whether it’s one size up in a blazer or a slightly looser waist, you want things to feel easy and pared back. 07 ## Tinker With Texture Contrasting textures is a tried and tested way of adding an edge to any look.
