Camden’s fringe event gives Scotland’s most famous festival a run for its money. Until 25th August, Londoners can discover underground gems from the worlds of theatre, stand-up, sketch, dance, cabaret and spoken word. From Tuesdays to Saturdays, he will be leading the dinner service, delivering a menu of Italian-inspired comfort food. Count on grilled onglet with braised lettuce; tagliatelle with tomato, lemon and parsley; grilled leeks with romesco sauce; fried whitebait; and pork and fennel polpette in arrabbiata. Launched last week, Whitechapel Gallery is looking back over Kennard’s prolific five-decade career in a new exhibition titled *Archive of Dissent*. Starting this week, the café will be serving its own take on the Singaporean breakfast dish nasi lemak, a rice dish, steeped in coconut rice with lemongrass and pandan leaf aromatics. Eggbreak’s iteration will combine Old Chang Kee’s homemade sambal and chicken curry, with fresh cucumber, crispy fried egg, onion and chillies – served at both the original Notting Hill café and its new long-term residency at Shoreditch's The Hoxton. There’s more: the collaboration is going both ways. Set in the San Francisco Bay Area in Myspace era 2008, it tells the story of a Taiwanese-American boy and his last summer before high school begins. *Didi (*which means ‘younger brother’ in Chinese) is a coming-of-age story in which Chris faces the issues of a normal teen – girls, parents, skating – as well as a cultural gap between him and his peers. The drama centres on a team of five gay Black men, who are making a sauce to end all sauces for the ‘Hot Wangs’ contest in Memphis, Tennessee, when underlying tensions come to a boil. To celebrate the car’s iconic debut 60 years ago, Burlington Arcade’s The House Of Q has launched a pop-up experience with Aston Martin and Bollinger. At first look, the spot appears to be a newsstand but, inside, guests will discover a gold Champagne Bollinger bar adorned with schematics and parts of the original DB5.
