Now its Gothic horror companion *Frankenstein* is set to arrive. Directed by Guillermo del Toro (*The Shape of Water*, *Pan’s Labyrinth*) it stars Oscar Isaac as Victor Frankenstein, a scientist tortured by ambition, and man-of-the-moment Jacob Elordi as his monster (getting his ‘Gothic novel adaptation’ practice before starring as Heathcliff in next year’s *Wuthering Heights* remake). The film also stars Mia Goth, Christoph Waltz and Charles Dance. *17th October* Visit [Picturehouses.com](https://w.picturehouses.com/movie-details/000/HO00016825/frankenstein?filter=) ## THE BIOPIC: Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere Set in the early 80s, this film charts the beginning of Bruce Springsteen’s career, as he struggles to reconcile the pressures of success with the ghosts of his past as he records his album *Nebraska*. *The Bear*’s Jeremy Allen White sings throughout – brave when you’ve got to channel one of the most distinctive voices of all time – but his vocals and mannerisms (plus his brown contact lenses) seem bang on in the trailer. In 1970s Massachusetts, O’Connor is James Blaine Mooney, an unemployed carpenter turned amateur art thief who plans his first big robbery.
