Here are five rules for getting it right… **DON’T** go too tight. Blends will look cheap and with so many high-street names creating good stuff, there’s no excuse not to shop wool instead. **DO** make sure the neck is long enough. A short little funnel neck just won’t cut it – better to have to roll down a long style. **DON’T** pair the look with anything too pale. Inevitably your rollneck will be a darker shade (and if it isn’t, you should address that) so stay classy by adding only blacks, navys and khakis. **DON’T** add fussy separates. The polo neck is a refined classic, and it should be treated as such – forget busy prints, colours or too many layers.
