I usually start the day with breakfast at the hotel before heading to the club with my team. Once there, we often have another coffee before beginning the warm-up in the gym. On match days, there’s also an on-court warm-up, followed by a light meal and some final preparation before going back out to warm up again ahead of the match. ## You made quite the splash with your monogrammed [Gucci bag](https://click.linksynergy.com/deeplink?id=etT1jgERWYw&mid=37933&murl=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.gucci.com%2Fuk%2Fen_gb%2Fnst%2Fcourt-connection-gucci-jannik-sinner) on Centre Court three years ago. What’s your relationship with fashion these days? I’ve learnt a lot about fashion since the beginning of my partnership with [Gucci](https://click.linksynergy.com/deeplink?id=etT1jgERWYw&mid=37933&murl=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.gucci.com%2Fuk%2Fen_gb%2Fnst%2Fcourt-connection-gucci-jannik-sinner). Stepping onto the most famous tennis court in the world carrying the Gucci bag was certainly a very special moment. ## How would you describe your off-duty style? Very relaxed, to be honest. I like dark colours and white, and when I’m at home I wear a lot of [Nike](https://www.awin1.com/cread.php?awinmid=16327&awinaffid=69421&platform=dl&ued=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.nike.com%2Fgb%2Fmen). If we go out for dinner, I like to wear something from Gucci – maybe a pair of trousers with a simple white T-shirt and a nice jacket. It’s a style that feels very effortless but still elegant. Wimbledon is a truly unique tournament. There is so much history and tradition there, and everything feels different from other events. ## Do you have a signature scent? I don’t wear fragrance all the time but I’ve recently discovered some of the scents from Gucci’s [Alchemist’s Garden collection](https://click.linksynergy.com/deeplink?id=etT1jgERWYw&mid=37933&murl=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.gucci.com%2Fuk%2Fen_gb%2Fst%2Fcapsule%2Fthe-alchemist-garden) and really enjoy them for special occasions. As a tennis player, I spend a lot of time in the sun, so sunscreen is essential. I’ve been watching [*Rafa*](https://www.netflix.com/gb/title/81785900) on Netflix. It’s been really interesting and it’s great to see some of the older footage as well, along with so much behind-the-scenes content and background information that I wasn’t aware of. It has to be Italy. We have everything here: the sea, the mountains, the lakes, the islands, beautiful small towns and iconic cities. You never get bored in Italy, and the food is the best in the world. I’m from the Dolomites. If you have never been, you should definitely go. ## What’s a luxury you appreciate now that you didn’t a few years ago? I remember that when I was a junior player, I would often choose the less expensive dishes on the menu because I couldn’t afford to spend a lot of money in restaurants. Nowadays, I feel very fortunate that if I want to order something special or enjoy a more exclusive restaurant, I can do so without feeling guilty. Good food is very important to me and, being Italian, I grew up with amazing meals both at home and in restaurants, so I’ve always appreciated good food. ## How do you switch off from tennis? I like to spend time with my family and friends, and do simple things like a have BBQ or go to the beach. Spending time in nature is very relaxing and helps me recover after intense weeks on tour. Wow, that’s not an easy one. I love the main courts in Rome and Turin – the atmosphere is very special and I get incredible support from the crowd. Centre Court at [Wimbledon](https://www.wimbledon.com/) is iconic and unique, probably the most exclusive court in the world. ## What does Wimbledon mean to you? Wimbledon is a truly unique tournament. There is so much history and tradition there, and everything feels different from other events. The smell of the grass, the sound of the ball, the atmosphere around the courts and the beauty of the club itself – all of those details make it such a special place. ## Which moment in your career feels like the biggest one so far? I have to say winning Wimbledon last year. It felt like a fairytale, and I was even happier since my parents and my brother were there. ## What are you still looking to achieve? Together with my team we are working very hard to improve day after day. I’m only 24 years old and can still improve many aspects of my game.
