MAN TO FOLLOW: Jeremy Jauncey

He is the man behind the Instagram account Beautiful Destinations, which has attracted 13m followers and has become so influential that hotel chains and tourism boards jostle to feature on it. While Beautiful Destinations is unarguably eye-catching, Jeremy’s personal account is the one to follow for its fitness and fashion ideas.

FILM: Knives Out

Writer and director Rian Jonson (Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Brick, Looper) has called on a killer cast including Daniel Craig, Chris Evans, Michael Shannon, Jamie Lee Curtis, Toni Collette and Christopher Plummer to deliver a modern take on the classic ‘whodunnit’. Having already achieved 96% on Rotten Tomatoes, and with reviews describing it as devilishly fun and one of the sharpest films of 2019, this Agatha Christie-inspired murder mystery is one to watch this month.

CAR: Aston Martin DBS Concorde

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first Concorde flight, Aston Martin has teamed up with British Airways to create the DBS Superleggera. Only ten of these special-edition super GTs will ever be built, to match the ten Concorde planes built at Filton in Bristol. The bespoke paintwork is Concorde white with BA red, white and blue on the roof strake, aero blade and rear diffusers to mirror the tailfin livery of the BA jet fleet. By special permission, the Speed Marque logo, only ever seen on BA aircraft, will be transformed into an elegant fender badge.

ALBUM: Leonard Cohen

Thanks For The Dance is a collection of new material started by Leonard Cohen in his final years and finished (at Cohen’s request) by his son Adam. In interview, Adam has recalled the final recording sessions and how much his father was suffering in his long battle with cancer. The voice, however, is still strong and has been cleverly entwined with collaborators such as Damien Rice, Beck and Arcade Fire’s Richard Reed. A worthy addition to anyone’s Leonard Cohen record collection.

STORE OPENING: Untuckit

Previously only available in the US, the shirt brand made to be worn untucked has opened its first two UK stores in Covent Garden and White City’s Westfield. The New York-based retailer has expanded rapidly since launching in 2011 – partly thanks to its great price points. The new London stores feature t-shirts, sports jackets and trousers as well as the shirts the brand is synonymous with. We hear Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne is already a fan.

EXHIBITION: Cars Accelerating The Modern World

The V&A is celebrating some of the world’s most beautiful vehicles and how they’ve shaped our lives today. Exhibition highlights include a Benz Patent-Motorwagen No. 3 from 1888, a bubble-top Messerschmitt KR200 cabin scooter from 1959, a gleaming red 60s Ford Mustang and a matte olive VW Beetle from Hitler’s Germany. There are thought-provoking short-films on display throughout the gallery, reflecting on the 130-year history of the motor vehicle – the most interesting cover car cultures from around the world from the low riders of LA to customised lorries in Japan.

COLLABORATION: Mulo x Hamilton AND Hare

Luxury slipper brand Mulo has teamed up with loungewear specialist Hamilton And Hare to create two cool styles of slippers, both lined with a breathable, natural shearling. The collaboration combines Mulo’s classic slipper silhouette with H&H’s stylish natural fabrics. Our favourite? The slip-on design in a blue suede colourway, which features a blue and white-striped H&H fabric in the inner sole. This is the first time the brands have collaborated and, with their shared passion for elevated basics, considered travel wear and smart loungewear, we anticipate a sell-out success.
