HOST YOUR OWN ROAST: HARWOOD ARMS DELIVERY
One of the nation’s very few Michelin-starred pubs, Fulham’s Harwood Arms is now delivering its legendary roasts to your door – if that door happens to be in Zones 1-6. A joint effort with Lake District Farmers, the roast box includes a juicy piece of sirloin, crispy roast potatoes, and a selection of veg and yorkshire puddings. Boxes can serve two or four.
SETTLE IN FOR SOME COMEDY: SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE AT THE STAND
In normal circumstances, The Stand runs venues in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Newcastle. Right now, it’s hosting live stand-up events online every Saturday. Streamed on YouTube, they feature local acts as well as videos and interviews with some famous faces. Free to stream, this Saturday’s gig starts at 8.30pm, with donations welcome to support the venues.

GET TO KNOW A LOST ALBUM: HOMEGROWN BY NEIL YOUNG
Homegrown is a ‘new’ album from the 70s by folk-rock legend Neil Young. Dropping this Friday, it includes five tracks that found homes on some of Young’s other LPs, while seven remaining songs were unreleased until now. Showcasing Young at his finest, and perhaps most vulnerable, this is a must listen.
ENJOY A CLASSIC WITH A TWIST: THE PERSONAL HISTORY OF DAVID COPPERFIELD
Based on Charles Dickens’s David Copperfield, this comedy-drama was a standout film of 2019. Now it’s on Curzon Home Cinema, you can stream it in the comfort of your own home. Starring some of the biggest names in British film – Dev Patel, Hugh Laurie and Tilda Swinton – and directed by Armando Iannucci, this is an entertaining, fun adaptation.
LISTEN TO A LEGEND: ROUGH AND ROWDY WAYS BY BOB DYLAN
Another dad-friendly LP for the weekend, Bob Dylan’s Rough and Rowdy Ways is out on Friday. The great man’s first album of original songs since 2012, it promises soulful, blues-style tracks and bleakly beautiful lyrics. Already out as a single, Murder Most Foul is a remarkable 17-minute track filled with melancholic piano melodies and soft violins.
ENJOY AN AFTERNOON OUT: GREENWICH MARKET
Closed since March, Greenwich Market has just reopened to the public. Following social-distancing guidelines, it is open Thursday to Sunday, operating on a one-way system. Head there for the hot and cold food vendors that are returning to the much-loved Fry’s Court, such as The Oyster Brothers, a favourite for seafood, and Andes, which sells freshly made empanadas.
CELEBRATE THE OLD MAN: DADS
A Father’s Day special on Apple TV, Dads is a documentary that celebrates the ups and downs of fatherhood. Featuring home footage of dads from around the world, as well as interviews with celebrity fathers such as Jimmy Fallon and Will Smith, it is also the directorial debut of actress Bryce Dallas Howard, whose own dad happens to be Oscar-winning director Ron Howard.
