Once you’ve filled the fridge, start your evening with some funk. The Blackbyrds drop a funk-filled beat before Jayda G gets cocktail hour into full swing with some haunting vocals.

Folamour is the French producer of the year; he’s here with Jitwam to deliver the buoyant message of ‘Sun After Rain’. House music originator Marshall Jefferson is in the mix too, then there’s Hot Chip, who have teamed up with Jarvis Cocker on a real toe-tapper.

Look out for the House Gospel Choir and a 70s funk-disco stomper as the groove starts to build. Soulwax will take you on an epic 14-minute journey. The reinvention of Dance System (aka L-Vis 1990) is one of the good things to have happened in 2020 and his collaborations with India Jordan and Hudson Mohawke show how he’s putting the fun back into music.

Bonobo and TEED supply the midnight moment, then DJ Zinc, Honey Dijon and Rebūke will keep you moving into the early hours. Listen out too for MK’s version of ‘Push The Feeling On’, which became a social media sensation this year as everyone from Gordon Ramsay to Katy Perry recreated Mufasa and his celebration of Fridays.
