He’s Jakhor, a young black man who is arrested after brutally shooting a couple in front of their young daughter in the midst of a break in. Serving a life sentence, Jakhor finds himself in the same prison as his father, prompting him to reflect on the decisions, circumstances and system that determined his fate. Making his directorial debut, Black Panther co-writer Joe Cole takes viewers on a poignant journey into the impoverished neighbourhoods of America and the crimes they encourage.

Jerry Seinfeld: 23 Hours to Kill
Comedy clubs might be closed, but stand-up certainly hasn’t dried up. Still celebrated today as the star of the greatest 90s sitcom of them all, Jerry Seinfeld takes the stage in New York (via a helicopter into the Hudson, if the opening credits are to be believed) for this one-hour Netflix special. In what is possibly the final gig of his career, he’s determined to tackle some of today’s biggest issues, from the advantages of texting over talking, to the magic of Pop Tarts. A light-hearted treat.
