COGO is throwing an indoor house, garage and bass festival at Tobacco Docks, hosted by radio station Kiss FM. Twenty DJs will take to the decks to set the vibe, including big names like Jax Jones, Bad Boy Chiller Crew, Emily Nash and Jodie Harsh. Rudimental and man-of-the-moment Joel Corry will headline, while DJ Endor (Pump It Up) and Kiss FM’s Shosh will head up the house music corner.

BEST FOR GROUPS: Decimo At The Standard

Decimo at the Standard hotel is throwing a blowout NYE party from 10pm to 3am. Bring your dancing shoes to this 10th-floor restaurant where award-winning DJ Benji B will set the vibe with an eclectic mix of house, techno, soul and R&B. Sea Containers is inviting guests to cut loose at its rooftop bar, 12th Knot. With the London skyline as a backdrop, the resident DJ will spin dance tunes until 2am. Searcys is hosting two special NYE events. Ring in 2022 with a table at Searcys at The Gherkin – at the very top of the skyscraper, guests will be served champagne and a five-course dinner in the Helix restaurant. Meanwhile, St Pancras Brasserie & Champagne Bar by Searcys is throwing a French 1920s party. On the top floor of St Pancras station, enjoy an evening of jazz, canapés, champagne, and an indulgent three-course dinner.

Part of the Printworks group, the Drumshed is hosting an NYE extravaganza with music label Hospitality. Drum ’n’ bass fans can look forward to a mix of feel-good sounds and a non-stop party atmosphere created by a string of top DJs – expect to hear from Danny Byrd, Flava D, Kings of the Rollers, Daxta and Camo & Krooked, with more acts announced soon.

BEST TASTING MENU: Frenchie

SLMan favourite Frenchie will serve a special seven-course menu this year. Guests will be greeted with champagne before enjoying elegant French dishes like scallop tartare; duck foie gras and smoked eel pressé; tagliatelle with smoked egg yolk and black truffle; and Cornish turbot with caviar and bergamot. Add on wine pairings for an additional £80.

If you want to get the kids in on the action, take the family to Juju’s Bar & Stage in Shoreditch for a hip-hop day party. Counting down to midday – not midnight – the event includes a child-friendly balloon drop, glitter cannons, party poppers, a snow machine and ‘hip hop’ colouring in. Bermondsey restaurant Trivet has created a one-off menu for NYE, available for lunch and dinner. Created by Jonny Lake (of Fat Duck fame), diners will be welcomed with cocktails and snacks, before tucking into dishes like salt-steamed turbot, lobster tail with linguine, grilled loin of venison, and a baked potato mille-feuille for dessert. Wine pairings will accompany each dish.

BEST ENTERTAINMENT: The Anthologist

Legendary DJ Fat Tony is hosting a party at the Anthologist. Expect a high-octane night of party anthems and entertainment from dancers – and you can tack on a three-course meal and cocktails. The menu spans linguine vongole to wagyu beef burgers with a trio of chips and buttered greens. Dinner tickets include access to a basement club, where the party will continue until 2am.

BEST FOR DINNER WITH A VIEW: Seabird

After a romantic spot for two? Seabird at The Hoxton hotel in Southwark has created a special seafood menu. Guests will be welcomed with a glass of Nyetimber Classic Cuvée, followed by a selection of sharing seafood dishes including oysters, scallops with truffle, crab bisque with sourdough, and prawn croquettes. There are three main courses on offer – we like the sound of chargrilled tomahawk steak – plus a trio of desserts, including torrija with Irish ice-cream, and manchego cheesecake pimped with membrillo.

BEST ALL-NIGHT PARTY: LWE Presents Love Unlimited At O2 Academy Brixton

O2 Academy Brixton is back with its annual NYE party. If you’re in for the long haul, doors open at 9am and the DJs won’t stop until 5am on New Year’s Day. Hosted by music collective LWE, confirmed acts include Radio 6 Music’s The Blessed Madonna, Hunee and TSHA, plus more house and disco DJs to be announced in the coming weeks.
