The SLMan Podcast: Stephen Gillen’s Inspiring Story Of Escaping A Life Of Crime

Stephen Gillen is a successful entrepreneur, author and the co-founder of award-winning international media, branding and TV company Roar Media Creative Studios. Having grown up in 1970s Belfast amid violence, unrest and trauma, he was sent back to England before being groomed into a life of crime, going to a detention centre for the first time at 14. In his early 20s he received a 17-year sentence, eventually serving 12, as one of the UK’s most dangerous offenders. Having hit rock bottom, he decided to change his mindset to manage his behavioural, anger and violence issues. Here, he joins Charlotte Collins to talk about how he turned his life around and why his story can be a source of inspiration…
