About The Role

SLMan is looking for a junior editor to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone in the early stages of their career who is passionate about men’s fashion, grooming, lifestyle and culture, and eager to learn.

You’ll assist the associate editor in crafting sharp, engaging content across SLMan’s channels – from features and interviews to podcasts and social. Naturally curious, you’ll keep your finger on the pulse of trends and industry news, and dive in wherever needed – from research and writing to shoots and events.

You should be open to being a public-facing voice for SLMan – whether that’s appearing in social content, helping on video shoots, joining podcasts or attending industry events to represent the brand.

If you’re looking for a hands-on junior role where you can learn fast, develop your editorial skills and contribute to how men’s lifestyle content is created and shared, this could be the perfect next step.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the team in creating high-quality, engaging content across all SLMan verticals, including fashion, grooming, lifestyle, fitness and culture.
  
   
• Assist with research for features, shopping edits, interviews, guides and newsletters.
  
   
• Help pitch and write articles in SLMan’s tone of voice.
  
   
• Keep on top of emerging trends, new products and key industry moments to help ensure SLMan remains on the cutting edge of men’s lifestyle content.
  
   
• Support the execution of brand and talent partnerships – from moodboarding and ideas to copywriting and content checks – ensuring everything feels authentic and on-brand.
  
   
• Contribute to social and video content – from brainstorming ideas to being on set and appearing in social content.
  
   
• Attend key industry events and launches.
  
   

About You

• You have a genuine passion for men’s fashion, grooming, fitness, culture and lifestyle, and a strong understanding of what interests the modern man.
  
   
• You have some experience in digital publishing, writing or editing. This could be through a first job, internship, freelance work, substack, etc (1+ years).
  
   
• You can demonstrate a natural ability to write sharp, engaging, on-brand content.
  
   
• You have a strong interest in social platforms such as Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, and how they influence men’s lifestyle content.
  
   
• You’re open to and comfortable building confidence in presenting and speaking on camera, whether for social media, video, podcasts or live broadcasting.
  
   
• You’re a proactive and creative team player – ambitious to take on a role with huge opportunity.
  
   
• You’re highly organised, detail-oriented and always work to a high standard.
  
   
• You’re enthusiastic, eager to learn, and happy to roll up your sleeves in a fast-paced environment.
  
   

Reports to: Associate editor, SLMan
Location: SW London. This role is office-based and cannot be carried out remotely.
Salary: DOE, but in line with the junior level of this position
