Foot Locker's Latest New Balance Drops Are Seriously Good

New Balance 9060
Giving off those Y2K vibes NB has become known for, this one’s chunkier sole and dad-style silhouette make it a versatile choice for the season ahead. The 9060 is a well-established favourite, but this new colourway is the result of a collaboration with London-based designer Mowalola. Exclusive to Foot Locker, it features a grey base and mesh, with suede overlays plus hints of navy and a cobalt shade of blue. This is a sporty style that can dress down a classic outfit featuring, say, tailored trousers. The new drop has the 9060’s classic dual-density midsole with ABZORB & SBS cushioning – which essentially means they’re incredibly comfortable. Look out too for a Translucent CR device at the heel, which helps with stability, and a throwback logo on the tongue that adds a cool edge.
New Balance 725
Also available only in Foot Locker, the 725 is a shoe NB has pulled from the archives. The silhouette reminds us of the popular Made In USA 990v4 – but with a thicker, more unusual sole. It features a synthetic mesh upper and C-CAP midsole cushioning in cream, which is a fresh contrast with the grey body. As with the 9060, this new release is one of the brand’s Grey Day drops. NB was one of the first running shoe makers to shake things up and introduce grey to its repertoire as a stylish alternative to traditionally colourful styles. Each year, its Grey Days pay homage to this heritage shade, which continues to exude a timeless style.
