Eric Underwood is a former leading dancer with The Royal Ballet in London. Born in Washington DC, Eric began his dance training at the School of American Ballet before joining The Royal Ballet in 2006. Eric has also made a name for himself in the fashion world, modelling for brands like Louis Vuitton and Diesel in publications such as Vogue, GQ and Esquire. Throughout his career, Eric has been a vocal advocate for greater diversity and inclusivity in both the ballet and fashion industries – and has worked with organisations such as Ballet Black and The Black Iris Project to promote greater representation and opportunities for dancers of colour. Here, he sits down with SLMan editor Charlotte Collins to tell his fascinating story, talk through his fitness regime and share his top London recommendations for culture, going out and tailoring.
