THE RESTAURANT
La Môme London
This month sees French restaurateurs Ugo and Antoine Lecorché bring the razzle-dazzle of the French Riviera to five-star Knightsbridge hotel The Berkeley. La Môme London will be the fourth venture from the brothers, who opened La Môme Plage in 2018 and La Môme Monte Carlo in 2022. The capital’s outpost will feature many signatures from Cannes, where the brothers are known for serving quintessential Mediterranean dishes with a taste of Provence and Italy. A ten-seater bar will offer cocktails and small bites, while the main restaurant will seat 170 inside and 30 on an outdoor terrace. The new place will be open seven days a week for lunch and dinner.

THE HOMEWARE
Smythson Cocktail Box
If you’re ignoring Dry January, you should do so in style. Equipped with all the accoutrements to get drinks flowing – including crystal glassware by Notting Hill designer Richard Brendon, a silver-plated jigger and shaker, leather coasters and a set of cocktail picks – this new set by leather specialist Smythson is completed by a cocktail notebook featuring classic recipes as well as space to record new concoctions. Inspired by Smythson’s Stationery Bureau, first made in the early 1900s, the leather-bound box has been designed with cleverly hidden compartments and a place for everything.

THE MENSWEAR COLLAB
Percival X Ford
Celebrating 60 years of the mighty Mustang, plucked British menswear brand Percival and American motoring behemoth Ford have teamed up on a special collection. The pieces within honour Ford’s legacy while offering a fresh take on classic automotive aesthetics. There’s a leather raceway bomber with high-build embroidery on the chest, quilted internal lining and high-quality leather that nods to the car’s heritage seats. As well as shirts, caps and hoodies, there’s a pair of entry-level white logo socks we’ve got our eye on.

THE DISH
Jupiter Burger
Supernova, Junk, Manna, No Drama… 2024 proved there was no shortage of appetite when it comes to London smashburgers. This year kicks off with another – Jupiter Burger, which is popping up seven days a week at Netil Market for the foreseeable. From the same team as Exmouth Market’s Dom’s Subs, expect eye-catching retro branding – with well-made patties and buns to back it up.

THE DRY JAN DRINK
Botivo X Berry Bros. & Rudd
For Dry January, botanical aperitivo Botivo and the UK’s oldest fine-wine and spirits merchant, Berry Bros. & Rudd, have launched a limited-edition creation: the Berry Bros. & Rudd Barrel-Aged Aperitivo. A complex, aged, low-alcohol (1% ABV) drink that’s three years in the making, it comprises botanicals and British apple cider vinegar that has been aged in Islay whisky barrels. The result is a refreshing creation that marries the woody notes of the barrel and cherry bark with the smoky tones of peat and the bittersweet flavours of gentian and wildflower honey. Serve in a highball with soda and a slice of fresh lemon, and sip late into the evening.

THE LOUNGEWEAR
David Gandy Wellwear
Need some new year loungewear? Hackett London x David Gandy Wellwear have teamed up once more, this time to create the Cashmere Lounge Set. Made from a luxurious wool-cashmere blend, the set features a honeycomb stitch that adds a subtle texture to the hoodie and joggers, alongside temperature regulation and breathability. The collection is sold as a set or separates. We also love the look of Gandy’s new duvet robe, which can be used indoors on chilly mornings, but is stylish enough to don outside.

THE ART BOOK
Jean-Michel Basquiat: Engadin
The ascent of Jean-Michel Basquiat surprised the art world and sent shockwaves through society, as his symbol-laden paintings addressed political issues, criticising racism, social injustices and consumer capitalism. This new book examines the artist’s relationship with Switzerland and will be published to mark the exhibition Jean-Michael Basquiat. Engadin at Hauser & Wirth St Moritz. Though most often associated with NYC, Basquiat had a strong connection to the Alpine region. This publication documents the artist’s impressions of the Swiss Alpine landscape and culture, captured in his iconic visual style, rarely seen archival material and a chronology of his time in Switzerland.
