The Collab

Roger Federer Collection By JW Anderson

JW Anderson has just dropped another collab collection with Uniqlo. This time, tennis champ Roger Federer has come to the party. Fresh from dressing the big-screen stars of Challengers, Anderson isn’t done celebrating the sport’s rich history and classic aesthetic. Inspired by vintage tenniswear designs and silhouettes from the 70s and 80s, this collection is built on versatility, technicality and style. The trio have come up with a simple yet sophisticated uniform for players and non-players alike: the palette focuses on sage greens and charcoal greys, while timeless pieces like the off-court polo shirt and active shorts are updated twist with a bold stripe.

Gerry’s Hot Subs

A month or so ago we wandered down Exmouth Street after an evening raising a negroni to the late Russell Norman at Brutto. Alongside the ever-busy Moro, the thing that caught our attention was the retro sign for Gerry’s Hot Subs. The place was still in the building stages then, but is now open as a next-level sandwich shop from the man who made a success of Bodean’s. Independently owned, Gerry’s is built on a lifelong passion for American food and decades of experience in the restaurant world. The team slow-cooks, cures, BBQs and prepares all the fillings and freshly bakes the subs. We’ve got our eye on the Philly cheesesteak.

Hermès

‘The Spirit of the Faubourg’ features a collection of fun, tongue-in-cheek luggage stickers capturing the journey from 24 Faubourg Saint-Honoré in Paris to 706 Madison Avenue in New York – look out for a cavalryman, a horseshoe, a Greek-style lamp, Western-tied scarfs and padlocks along the way. Even if you can’t afford an Hermès bag or scarf, it’s been enough to get us thinking about adding some stickers to our own suitcase this summer. And if you can, we like this Grand Prix number.

The Bikeriders

The Bikeriders captures a rebellious time in America when the culture and people were changing.
