THE HOTEL

Six Senses London, Bayswater

Opening on 1st March in The Whiteley redevelopment in Bayswater, Six Senses London is the brand’s first UK property. Close to Hyde Park and Notting Hill, the 109-room hotel promises to bring Six Senses’ signature slower rhythm to the capital. At its core is the expansive Six Senses Spa, complete with biohacking facilities, treatment rooms and an indoor swimming pool. Whiteley’s Kitchen, Bar & Café will champion maverick British cuisine, farmhouse bakes and creative cocktails, while the Earth Lab and Alchemy Bar underscore the brand’s sustainability focus. The hotel will also introduce the first ever Six Senses Place, a members-style space blending dining, movement and cultural programming.

THE RESTAURANT

Osteria Vibrato, Soho

Osteria Vibrato is the new restaurant from the Laughing Heart’s Charlie Mellor. He’s teamed up with ex-Luca sommelier to create this celebration of regional Italian cooking. In the kitchen, Gaia Enria (Burro e Salvia) and head chef Louis Lingwood (Toklas; Quo Vadis) have collaborated on a menu that spans Italy from Liguria to Valle d’Aosta. Look for smaller plates such as bagna cauda crostino and Albese-style raw beef, while fresh pasta is rolled daily for classics like tagliatelle with ragù and mezze maniche alla gricia. Interior touches, which include Murano chandeliers, terrazzo floors and candlelight, lend the space a romantic, old-school warmth.

They are now applying their expert craftsmanship to a new westernwear line. You can go big with cowboy boots (available in brown suede, black leather and cowhide) or stay more subtle with a flannel zip-up, corduroy pants or a cowhide cap or cardholder.

THE DRINKING DEN

Forbidden City Bar

We’ve got a new favourite bar: Forbidden City Bar beneath A. Wong. Andrew Wong quietly opened it earlier this year for pre- and post-dinner drinks for restaurant guests, but it’s now a standalone bar serving the classics alongside its own Forbidden City cocktails (such as the Egg Tart – a refined blend of cognac, ginger, lemon and egg). The bar also has its own food menu, featuring Cantonese wonton noodle soup and A. Wong's signature special fried rice.

THE TRAINERS

Keen

Built for performance and designed with a sharp look, Keen’s new Seek and Roam trainers are made for technical terrain but at home off the trail. The shoemaker entered the trail-running category at Utah’s Twisted Fork Trail Festival earlier this year, having spent years developing these two models. Roam is an adaptive trail runner for gravel, dirt and road, while Seek promises maximal comfort and pinnacle performance. They share a high-abrasion rubber formulation that has been independently tested to be about twice as durable as a typical trail runner. They look good enough to wear day-to-day too.

THE EVENT

Spotlight At St Martins Lane

Sertaç Dirik (@SertacDirik) and Marcelo Rodrigues (@IAm.MarceloRodrigues) have been announced as the first chef residents at Spotlight at St Martins Lane. Each Wednesday to Saturday until 7th March, the pair are collaborating on an exclusive lunch and dinner menu. Dirik, former co-head chef of Mangal II, is returning to London’s dining scene after an 18-month hiatus, bringing a celebrated approach to Turkish cuisine that combines traditional techniques with seasonal British produce and a contemporary lens. Portugal’s Rodrigues, meanwhile, is known for produce-led cooking shaped by formative stints at the Marksman and Brawn. Menu highlights include a bikini toast with sucuk, hot honey and guindilla; scallop crudo dressed with green tomato and olive ezme; and battered bacalao with slow-cooked onions and dill emulsion.

THE LUGGAGE

Rimowa

Rimowa has added Titanium to its Classic collection. The colourway is a permanent addition across the German brand’s Cabin, Check-In L and Trunk sizes. A warm aluminium shade with a soft satin finish that subtly shifts in the light, Titanium’s clean lines and polished details will gradually acquire a patina that speaks to travels past. Each piece includes a leather address tag that can be personalised with initials, and there are other colourful accents to choose from, including handles and wheels.
