THE OUTERWEAR
Oliver Spencer
Oliver Spencer’s autumn/winter collection puts British manufacturing to the fore, with a selection of outerwear made entirely in the UK. Two key styles use Morgan cloth, a textured pure-new-wool fabric woven in Yorkshire in a rich green inspired by the British landscape. It features on the Big Coat, a belted double-breasted design, and the Addington Jacket, which combines bomber and workwear influences. A second Yorkshire-woven fabric, Thackray, brings an earthy oatmeal plaid to the collection. This appears on the Renbourne Bomber Jacket, Crosby Coat and another version of the Addington. The cloth is cut and sewn in London, confirming the brand’s commitment to local production and traditional textile expertise.

THE ACCESSORIES
Aston Martin x Smythson
British luxury leather goods brand Smythson has teamed up with the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One team on a collection of stationery, travel and tech accessories. The range features the team’s signature Podium Green and Dark Shadow shades, alongside co-branded detailing. Our favourite piece is the bespoke Circuit Journal, which includes behind-the-scenes content, a foreword from team principal Adrian Newey, and space to record every race of the season. Smythson’s Panama and Soho notebooks also feature racing-inspired titles and special-edition car illustrations. Elsewhere, a passport sleeve, washbag, laptop case, card holder and sunglasses case make practical additions for fans travelling between race weekends (and excellent Christmas presents).

THE COFFEE-TABLE BOOK
Lakers: An Official History of the Purple & Gold
Basketball fans and design enthusiasts alike will want to make room for Lakers: An Official History of the Purple & Gold, a new illustrated history from Taschen, produced in collaboration with the team. Spanning seven decades and 17 championships, the book traces the franchise’s evolution through rare photographs, vintage ephemera, original artwork and memorabilia from private collections and the Lakers archives. Contributions come from some of the biggest names associated with the team, including Magic Johnson, Shaquille O’Neal, LeBron James and Luka Dončić. It’d be an impressive addition to any sports book collection.

Gleneagles Tower Suite

A winding staircase connects a timber-clad dining room, plush sitting room and atmospheric library, while a hidden staircase leads to the hotel’s only private rooftop terrace. THE DRINK
Seventy One Eau de Minuit
Ahead of party season, gin brand Seventy One has introduced Eau de Minuit, the Black Cask Midnight Edition – its first new expression since launching in 2021. Created by founder Mert Alas and master distiller Steve Wilson, the limited-edition gin combines the house’s botanical character with three types of oak. The result is a deeper profile, with notes of dark fruit, leather, tobacco, hazelnut, cacao and toasted oak, balanced by Queen of the Night absolute. Made in the UK, just 3,000 bottles will be released worldwide, priced at £228. The brand is also launching a limited-edition Seventy One x Trudon Feu de Nuit gift set, which teams a bottle of gin with six hand-made Trudon Ernesto taper candles and a box of matches.

THE HOTEL
La Réserve Firenze
La Réserve Firenze, the first Italian property in Michel Reybier’s La Réserve Private Homes collection, has opened in a restored 15th-century palazzo on Via Santo Spirito in Florence’s Oltrarno district. It comprises six apartments designed to feel like private Florentine homes, combining space and independence with the service of a luxury hospitality offering. Over four years, interior architects Gilles & Boissier led its restoration, bringing historic details back to the fore. Hand-restored frescoes, coffered ceilings, traditional terracotta floors and Siena travertine sit alongside works from the owners’ art collection. The result balances the palazzo’s original character with contemporary design.

THE RESTAURANT
Kebapçı İskender
The family behind Kebapçı İskender, the Bursa restaurant credited with creating the modern döner kebab, is bringing its signature dish to London. The Knightsbridge outpost marks the family business’s first venture outside Turkey in almost 160 years. The story began in 1867, when İskender Efendi developed his method of cooking lamb on a vertical spit over charcoal. Five generations later, the business remains family-owned, with Yavuz İskenderoğlu and his sons Oğuzhan and Kayhan choosing Knightsbridge for its association with quality and craftsmanship.

THE COLLECTION
Hawes & Curtis
Hawes & Curtis has created a 10-piece menswear collection inspired by Sir Michael Caine’s most memorable on-screen looks. Drawing on original garments made for the actor by his lifelong friend and tailor Douglas Hayward, the edit revisits defining moments in British film style – from the sharp suits of Alfie to the fur-collared trench coat and shawl-collar cardigan seen in Hannah and Her Sisters. Also included is Harry Palmer’s navy flannel blazer from The Ipcress File. The collection brings together British tailoring heritage and Caine’s understated approach to dressing, with pieces reworked for a contemporary wardrobe. Available online at Hawes & Curtis and at the brand’s Jermyn Street flagship, it’s a celebration of an enduring screen style that continues to influence menswear.
