THE COLLAB

Picante X Perello

Perelló and Picante have dropped an unexpected joint collection. The Picante founders’ obsession with bold graphics and collectible t-shirts sparked the idea to bootleg the Perelló logo for their SS24 summer capsule. The t-shirt went straight to print and became an instant bestseller. That was, of course, until Perelló caught sight of the tee and naturally took steps to protect its IP. But instead of a fighting, something better happened – the two brands have collaborated. The fresh release includes the original (now legit) t-shirt, a new graphic tee, hoodie, cap, Nalgene water bottle and a 600g tin of Perelló’s gorgeous manzanilla olives, rebranded with ‘Picante’ in place of the original label.

THE BOTTLE

Champagne Pommery X Salon Privé

Champagne Pommery is in the middle of its week-long celebration of the 20th anniversary of Salon Privé at Blenheim Palace. To mark the occasion, Pommery has created an exclusive Salon Privé anniversary gift box featuring Apanage Brut 1874. Marking Madame Pommery’s creation of Brut Champagne in 1874, cellar master Clément Pierlot has created a contemporary cuvée to showcase one of the great oenological achievements. This bold and innovative blend offers a fresh perspective on the classic brut – and the limited-edition Salon Privé gift box can be bought now from the link below.

THE COLLECTION

John Lewis

John Lewis is on a roll with its menswear, and its AW collection doesn’t disappoint. Rolled out in a traditional autumnal colour palette of navy, burgundy and camel – and modelled by friend of SLMan Dennis Okwera – the new-season heroes are lifted by pops of lime green and cobalt blue. Texture features heavily throughout the collection: from herringbone and bouclé to leather and suede, they’re all designed to be layered together. A classic two-piece is reimagined in a heavyweight fabric with chore jacket design elements such as patch pockets and stitched cuffs, while a zip-up cardigan becomes a jacket hybrid with an oversized fit and bobble texture.

THE SCENT

Creed Oud Zarian

Launching on 2nd September, Creed’s latest scent is Oud Zarian. It’s built around one of the rarest ingredients in perfumery: 80-year-aged oud, sourced from the ancient Sylhet forests of South Asia exclusively for the maestros at Creed. Crafted from the entire harvest of this extraordinary Jalali oud, which is revered for its depth and purity, Oud Zarian is rich, woody and ambery, layered with bergamot, frankincense, rose centifolia, sandalwood and a hint of liquorice root.

THE RESTAURANT

Carbone

Carbone is an A-list take on the Italian restaurants that dominated the New York scene back in the middle of the last century. It continues to draw in the stars of today with its period interiors, sense of theatre, impeccable service, and traditional NYC-style Italian-American cooking that’s been taken to the next level by chef Mario Carbone (the meatballs are unmissable but then so are the spicy rigatoni vodka and veal parmesan). Now, the full Carbone experience is coming to London. Taking over a corner of the old American Embassy on Grosvenor Square, this new-school Carbone will offer all the hallmarks of the Greenwich Village original – with a handful of London-only dishes alongside the kitchen's greatest hits.

THE WATCH

Pepsi x Seiko

They evolved in different fields, but Seiko 5 Sports and Pepsi are both loved across generations and continue to honour tradition while embracing the future. This is the shared spirit that has brought the first Seiko 5 Sports x Pepsi collaboration to life. Inspired by the heritage design of Seiko 5 Sports and the blue, white and red colours of Pepsi logos from the 1990s, the limited-edition watch delivers a bold, retro-inspired style with a silver-toned white dial and white indexes framed in blue. At the 6 o’clock position, the typeface from the 90s Pepsi logo is faithfully reproduced with its original proportions.

THE HOTEL

Aman Dolomites

The Dolomites have quietly emerged as one of the destinations of the summer – and there’s still time to get in on the action. Ultra-luxe hotel brand Aman has refurbished a property in the village of San Cassiano, with a slick update by designer Jean-Michel Gathy – think warm timber, soft stone and mountain views that steal the show. It’s still run by the original Pizzinini family, just with Aman’s
signature polish layered in. Visit now for an end-of-summer escape (the hotel is open for the season until mid-October) or book ahead for your next ski trip when it reopens in December.
