TRY A NEW COCKTAIL

The House of Creed X Sofitel St James Bar

The award-winning St James Bar at Sofitel London has teamed up with The House of Creed on a daring new cocktail menu. Three signature cocktails have been inspired by three iconic Creed fragrances: Silver Mountain Water, Green Irish Tweed and SLMan favourite Aventus. Each cocktail draws on experimental techniques to create a drink that brings the scent of the fragrances to life – we like the sound of the Green Irish Tweed mix, which features an oaky citrus aroma with gentle notes of lavender and bergamot. Private consultations at Creed’s Mount Street boutique can be arranged before or after visits to the pop-up.

6 Waterloo Place, St James’s, SW1Y 4AN; from 5th November

Eternals is set after the events in Avengers: Endgame as an immortal alien race emerges from hiding to protect Earth from its evil counterparts. An impressive roster of stars includes Gemma Chan, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanijani, Kit Harington, Salma Hayek and Angelina Jolie.

Putting The Rabbit In The Hat by Brian Cox

From Titus Andronicus with the RSC to Hannibal Lector in Manhunter and media magnate Logan Roy in Succession, Brian Cox is one of our great classical actors still working today. Growing up in Dundee, Cox lost his father early and was brought up by three elder sisters in the aftermath of his mother’s nervous breakdowns and ultimate hospitalisation. This rags-to-riches life story is a seminal autobiography that captures Cox’s distinctive voice – with plenty of laughs along the way. Critics are already comparing it to The Moon’s a Balloon by David Niven and What’s It All About by Michael Caine.
