What To Do This Weekend 06.10.2021

Wondering what to do this weekend? SLMan has you covered. From supper clubs and band-related pop-ups to a big-hitting political documentary, here’s what to get stuck into…

GET THE BEERS IN

Wunderbar At Pergola Paddington

Pitching up at Pergola is always a good idea, so we were excited it’s got itself a Bavarian beer hall to celebrate Oktoberfest. Until the end of this month, guests can try a range of German craft ales and beers – including a special brew from Camden Town Brewery – plus tasty treats from the pop-up Wursthaus, like fried potato dumplings, bratwurst baguettes and stollen bites. Expect live DJ sets, oompah band performances and other live entertainment in each beer hut.

MAKE LIKE BOND

007 X The Ivy West Street

To celebrate the release of No Time To Die, The Ivy West Street has created a 007 cocktail menu. Inspired by Daniel Craig’s final runout as Bond, there are drinks like the ‘Francisco Scaramanga Martini’ (Wyborowa vodka, Gun Powder vermouth and sesame oil) and the ‘Auric Goldfinger’ (Maker’s Mark bourbon, Kamm & Sons aperitif and Angostura bitters). Available until mid-October, enjoy them alongside Bond-approved dishes like caviar and grilled whole lobster.

TUNE INTO THIS NEW PODCAST

The Line-Up

Ex- Radio 6 presenter Shaun Keaveny has a lifetime’s worth of festival moments – and those are just the ones he can remember. In each episode of his new podcast, he asks a music-loving guest to share their favourite acts to watch in a field somewhere – from the first band waking up your senses to that emotional sunset slot and the all-important headliner. Don’t miss the latest episode with the Doctor, Jodie Whittaker, who reminisces about Glastonbury during the 90s, confirming it was as hedonistic as it sounded.
