DITCH THE WEEKEND PAPERS FOR THIS
This book charts a period in American history when Black men across the country adopted the clothing of a privileged elite and made it their own. Featuring hundreds of never-seen-before images of Black jazz musicians, political figures, artists, architects and writers (including Malcolm X, Martin Luther King Jr, James Baldwin and Miles Davis) it shows how a generation took the classic ‘Ivy League look’ and made it cool, edgy and unpredictable – while challenging the status quo in 1960s America.
