ORDER AN EPIC FRY-UP

London's Greatest Full English At The Hoxton Southwark

On Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th July between 9am and 2pm, The Hoxton Southwark is hosting a ‘full English takeover’ where diners can feast on breakfasts made up of the very best bits from the city’s greatest fry-ups. It includes Dishoom’s masala beans, Beppe’s fried slice, Riding House Café’s bacon, Norman’s sausage, E.Pellicci’s eggs, and hash browns from Hash E8, all on one plate. Each diner will also get a free copy of the newly launched Sausage Press guides – a series of pocket-sized foldouts that showcase London’s best spots, from greasy spoons to hungover brunch spots.

LISTEN TO LIVE JAZZ

Brumus Bar & Restaurant At Haymarket Hotel

Brumus Bar & Restaurant at Haymarket Hotel has launched a new music night dedicated to live jazz music and martinis. From 6-7.30pm every Thursday night (excluding Thursday 21st July), you can listen to jazz from the likes of singer-songwriter Georgia Chanel and renditions of Joe Guy’s trumpet solos. At the same time, sample martinis from the new menu – we recommend the ‘Fifty Fifty’, which is made with Malfi gin, Noilly Prat, orange bitters and lemon.

Broadcast live over Zoom from the Cinnamon Kitchen City kitchens, Vivek will first show you how to prepare two of his signature dishes: spice crusted seabass wrapped in banana leaf, and spiced paneer with chillies, before baking the sweet Indian dish thekua – a recipe from one of the family members supported by the charity. BOOK AHEAD

Genevieve Taylor x Two Tribes

On Wednesday 13th July from 6pm, BBQ master and food writer Genevieve Taylor is hosting an open-fire cooking night at Two Tribes’ Campfire taproom in King’s Cross. Diners can try new dishes from her book Seared, like smoky chicken burgers with red slaw; tandoori venison kebabs with flatbreads, salad, mint yogurt dressing, date and coriander chutney; steak and chips butties with mustard mayo and watercress; and jerk-spiced plantain and halloumi. Wash yours down with a couple of ice cold Two Tribes beer – we rate its classic Session IPA. DJ Charles Webster will set the vibe on the deck and you ask Genevieve to sign a copy of her book.
