Read This Debut Novel: The Prophets By Robert Jones Jr.

This debut novel by Robert Jones Jr. follows the story of two enslaved young men on a plantation in the Deep South. When another slave becomes suspicious of their close bond, their forbidden relationship threatens to rock the plantation. This book is a harrowing, but incredibly thought-provoking read, so be sure to set some time for it aside this weekend.
