FEAST IN FRONT OF THE FOOTIE: Brigadiers
Excellent Indian bar-restaurant Brigadiers is launching a Saturday Sports Menu for fans to enjoy while watching the new Premier League season. Inspired by the army mess bars of India, Brigadiers encourages camaraderie. While its art deco design conveys the opulence of Indian club culture, it offers a range of spaces for relaxed socialising. Coming in at £30 a head, the menu includes butter chicken burger with masala fries, and tandoori lamb pot pie with butter naan. For anyone watching at home, the sports menu will also be available to order in via the Ambassador General Store.

TASTE SOMETHING DIFFERENT: On Special At Larry’s
This summer’s hottest chef collaboration series is taking place in Peckham. ‘On Special’ launches this month with Larry’s restaurant hosting an array of culinary talents including Selin Kiazim (Oklava), Nud Dudhia (Breddos Tacos), Rob Casson (King of Feasts, Edinburgh) and Ixta Belfrage (Ottolenghi). Each chef’s dish will appear on Larry’s dinner menu for one week only. This week Selin Kiazim has drawn upon her Turkish Cypriot heritage to offer up crispy pomegranate glazed lamb breast and yoghurt. Next week, Rob Casson has created a ‘Kings Patty Melt’ of juicy beef patty with caramelised onions, pickles, his own burger sauce, and slabs of gouda sandwiched in rye bread.

HAVE A LAUGH: Rooftop Comedy Experience’s Big Weekend
The Rooftop Comedy Experience is hitting new heights as it hosts a Big Weekend at Stratford’s Roof East. A stellar lineup of TV funny folk includes Phil Wang, Nish Kumar, Lou Sanders, Ed Gamble and Rhys James. Head on up this Friday (13th August) for an evening with Taskmaster star Phil Wang, or check in on Saturday to see Nish Kumar and Live at the Apollo regular Lou Sanders do their thing. DISCOVER A NEW BREW: London Craft Beer Festival
After a year away, the London Craft Beer Festival is back at Tobacco Dock for a two-day extravaganza this weekend. World-class brewers including Northern Monk, Verdant, Mikkeller, Sierra Nevada and Tiny Rebel will all be there, as well as local favourites like The Kernel, Partizan, Gipsy Hill, Signature and Brick. There will also be six brand-new breweries hoping to make a splash.
