Where To Watch The 2021 Euros
BEST FOR A BIG-SCREEN EXPERIENCE: VINEGAR YARD
Vinegar Yard, next to London Bridge, has partnered with Adidas to create one of the biggest garden screens in the capital (6m x 3m). The Yard will be screening all Euro matches, from the opening Turkey v Italy game right through to the final, with table reservations going live this week. This huge outdoor venue will be taking table bookings for up to eight people for every match screening, with seating for hundreds of fans laid out around the single giant garden screen. Food and drink packages from Vinegar Yard’s various bars and street food traders will be available for the England games – we’ve got our eye on Baba G’s Indian-inspired ‘Bhangra burger’.

BEST FOR OPTIONS: SKYLIGHT LONDON
Skylight Rooftop has partnered with Budweiser and Bud Light – the official beers of the England team – to put together three exciting ways for fans to watch the footie this summer. With large LED screens on both the rooftop and inside Tobacco Dock, the venue will offer a great selection of food and drink during the games. A giant screen will be installed on its rooftop, as well as smaller ones under the pergola, with both spaces offering beer hall-style seating. The team is also transforming its Cocktail Cinema into a viewing screen, with comfortable seating, a private bar and sharing platters. For a smaller viewing experience, The Dock St Bar inside Tobacco Dock is available to book, and comes with private service and dedicated bar team. Budweiser will also be running various special events and activations throughout the summer.

This City restaurant is from the same stable as Gymkhana and Trishna, and the food is appropriately outstanding. Alongside dishes like Nargisi kofta venison scotch eggs and Brigadiers butter chicken pot pie, football fans can book a range of experiences for all the games throughout the tournament. Either create your own private screening event in one of the venue’s three private rooms or join the masses and cheer your team along in the main space. BEST FOR A GROUP: THE ALEXANDRA
This lively Clapham pub shows the football on a couple of big projectors and five HD screens. It’s a proper local (with regular punters propping up the bar), serving premium beers and a recently updated menu of classic pub snacks and pizzas. There’s a private space upstairs for small functions and group watching of the tournament – ideal if you want to watch any of the non-home nations matches.

BEST FOR TRADITIONAL CHARM: THE ALFRED TENNYSON
Just like its sister pubs (The Coach Maker’s Arms in Marylebone, Belgravia’s The Thomas Cubitt and The Orange in Chelsea), the Alfred Tennyson is preparing to welcome guests to watch the Euros. Go big and hire one of the private spaces with a bespoke package for friends or enjoy a more casual affair within the pub itself. All the England games will be shown as standard – and buckets of beer will be on hand – however if you have a particular game in mind, you can contact the team in advance to arrange a private booking.

BEST FOR THE BIG SCREEN: GREENWOOD
If your priority is the on-screen action and nothing else matters, then Greenwood should be your go-to. As well as showing sport on up to 20 different screens, it offers a range of beers on tap and works hard to drum up an energetic ‘stadium atmosphere’ to mitigate any feeling that you’re missing out on the real thing. Big group? Book a private area.

BEST FOR FAMILY VIEWING: THE QUEEN ADELAIDE
Family friendly and renowned for its roasts, this Young’s pub is gearing up for the Euros. Groups of up to ten can book a table in this lively spot for all the home nation games. We like the look of the Sunday fixtures – such as Wales v Italy on 20th June – when you can accompany your celebrations with a rib of beef. Got a lockdown pup in tow? This place is dog friendly too.
