My Little Black Book Of Treatments: Tunde Ogunsina

Tunde Ogunsina is a man who knows how to look after himself. The SLMan contributor has spent years honing his grooming routine and optimising his workout schedule. These are the places that have passed muster…

For Good Skin…

If my skin’s looking tired, I head straight to Bellissima Clinic for a CACI Facial. It’s one of those treatments that sounds technical – involving microcurrent, muscle re-education, all of that good stuff – but the result is simple: your face just looks better. Lifted, sharper and more awake. It’s a relatively new discovery for me, but it’s already locked into the routine.

For Hands & Feet…

About once a month, I head to Nails & Co. for a men’s manicure and pedicure. I won’t lie, parts of it are uncomfortable. The foot scrub, in particular, feels like a personal attack. But you sit through it because the end result is worth it. It’s also become a bit of a ritual. I go with one of my best mates, we catch up, reset, and leave feeling like functioning members of society again.

For Hair & Beard…

My guy is Vinny at Slick Kuts. I’ve been going to him for over 20 years, since I was about 10 – I’ve never cheated! I keep it simple, bald on top with a full beard, but the consistency is what matters. Just a proper cut and clean shape-up every time.

For A Proper Reset…

At Dr Karen Doherty’s clinic, I go for lymphatic drainage with Melissa or Charlotte. I’ve had the treatment elsewhere, but this place is different. The space doesn’t feel clinical, which makes a big difference – the interiors mix concrete with leather. The treatment itself is so restorative. You don’t fully realise how much you needed it until you leave the clinic.

For When My Body’s Falling Apart…

I go to Marvin Blake Therapies for osteopathy. I was put onto Marvin by my flatmate; after seeing the results, I had to try it myself and now it’s a regular thing. Sessions usually mix osteopathy with things like cupping or acupuncture, depending on what’s going on with my body. I find the difference between Marvin and other practitioners is that he not only fixes the issue you walk in with, but is also thinking long-term. You leave feeling properly reset, not just temporarily patched up.

For High-Performance Energy…

When life gets hectic, I book in at REVIV. I usually go for either the NAD+ drip or Methylene Blue, both geared towards energy, focus and overall performance. I’ve been going for a couple of years now, and it’s become my go-to.

SIRO Hotels; Third Space

For A Workout That Humbles You…

I like Psycle London, specifically Vinny’s class. It’s 45 minutes, but feels like three hours. You question your life choices halfway through, but you’ll burn upwards of 800 calories and leave feeling like you’ve actually done something. I’ve been going for about five years now, and it’s one of the only workouts I’ve genuinely stuck to.

For Recovery Days…

I go to Third Space in Canary Wharf for cryotherapy and red-light therapy. Cryo is brutal – there’s no way around that – but it does the job. Red light is more forgiving, and great for recovery. Also, the food is so underrated here. It’s one of the few places where being healthy actually feels enjoyable.

For A Full Switch-Off…

If you can get away, SIRO in Montenegro is on another level. It’s a hotel offering compression therapy, cryotherapy, yoga – almost anything you can think of. The real win is being forced to disconnect. No phone. You leave feeling like a different person.
