THE LATEST PURCHASE

I thrifted a really great vintage blazer in Milan. It’s beautiful, oversized and made from a luxe wool fabric. I bought it because of its cool, timeless design. I know it’ll be an everyday staple that I’ll pair with some black wide-leg trousers and a light turtleneck for a modern, monochromatic look. I haven’t had much of a chance to wear it – it’s been freezing in Belgium – but I’m looking forward to styling it a lot come spring.

THE TAILORING

It may come as a surprise, but Mango has some great quality suits – it’s a brand I gravitate towards for something elegant, fashionable and affordable. My favourite piece is from its collaboration with Boglioli – the fabrics and the details are just amazing.

THE FOOTWEAR

The Maison Margiela Replica low-tops are real heroes right now. I also have my eyes on the Marni Pablo leather sneakers, which are super minimalistic and uniquely designed. For more formal footwear, I like Septième Largeur and G.H. Bass. The best thing about loafers is that they’re so flexible, in terms of dressing them up or down.

THE HEADWEAR

Caps are such a pillar in my wardrobe. My go to brands are Aimé Leon Dore, Casablanca and Drôle de Monsieur. With each of them, the cap design, colours and fit are just immaculate. I own a decent amount of beanies too. They’re all from different brands because I buy them based on how they fit me. My best advice is to try them on and look for something that fits you perfectly.

THE WINTER STAPLES

AMI and Fiorucci are my go-tos for knits. Purely for the design quality. When it comes to outerwear, I opt for long coats. They look smart, plus they beat the cold temperatures here in Belgium.

THE BELGIAN BRANDS

Belgium has a really great roster of brands – the Antwerp Six (Dirk Bikkembergs, Ann Demeulemeester, Walter Van Bierendonck, Dries Van Noten, Dirk Van Saene and Marina Yee) are design heroes for a reason. They each went onto create their own brands, but their mark on the fashion scene goes deep. From Christian Wijnants to Arte Antwerp and Howlin’ – there are lots of great Belgian fashion brands I buy from. I also enjoy thrifting here. Think Twice is my favourite spot for this.

THE WATCH

The Cartier Tank Solo 2715 is such a beauty. Cartier’s unique craftsmanship is amazing, making this style a dream investment.

THE RULE

I think not following rules defines my style. I choose pieces depending on how I feel, or what the occasion suits, all while pulling on my core staples. I think this makes a look more interesting – the spontaneity and flexibility of it. When it comes to my style, I’m just a regular dude who loves clothes, so I struggle a little to define it. If I had to, I’d say it's: minimal, classy, neutral, oversized, casual, elegant and bold – I always just try to have fun with what I wear, while maintaining comfort and putting on pieces that resonate with me.

THE FRAGRANCE

Loewe’s Esencia Elixir is my current go-to. It has such a fresh, soothing scent and is one I’ll opt for year-round.

THE GROOMING PRODUCTS

In the AM, I use a face wash from CeraVe, sunscreen and a hydrating cream from La Roche-Posay, and top this up with vitamin C serum from Paula’s Choice. In the PM, I use a simple face wash and follow this with an exfoliant from Paula's Choice. Before I go to bed, I’ll use a nourishing night cream from La Roche-Posay.

THE RESTAURANT

Yalo is my favourite restaurant where I live in Gent. My go-to order is pasta vongole and the groene kruiden (I can’t translate this into English, but this is how you say it over here!). Drinks wise, I order a virgin mojito. I’ll normally wear something casual like loafers, black trousers, a nice knit and a long coat.

THE COFFEE SPOT

Koffeine Gent is my go-to coffee spot. Whenever I visit, I keep things simple and order a black americano.

THE CITY

I’m heading to Berlin soon. I’ve always loved how its historical buildings stand alongside modern architecture – blending the past and present as a backdrop for its vibrant culture and art scene. I also love visiting museums when I’m there. There are a couple I like, but my favourite has to be the Hamburger Bahnhof – Museum fur Gegenwart.

THE CAR

A Honda S800 would be my dream car. It was my father’s favourite car. He used to race in it with his father when he was young.

THE SOUNDS

I love the Dutch rapper Snelle. I also listen to a lot of podcasts. I think I just enjoy listening to people having conversations and sharing their stories and knowledge. De Wonderen Van Manifesteren by Willemijn Welten and Rochelle Balmer is one of my favourites. It is all about self-growth on different levels like spiritually, emotionally, and mentally. They also talk about the power manifestation can have in your life if you believe in it and put work into it. The Huberman Lab is more of a science-based podcast about how you can improve your health by following basic biological principles for good health and development.
