Lina In Piazza, King’s Cross
Lina Stores has opened an outdoor restaurant on Lewis Cubitt Square. The 85-cover terrace will be partially covered to protect from the elements and adhere to the latest social distancing advice with one-way entry/exit. Diners can feast on new dishes of maltagliati verdi with spring mushroom ragu; and crab linguine with lemon, chilli and garlic; as well as Lina Stores favourites tagliolini with summer truffle and parmigiano; and veal ravioli with salsa verde. A vintage Italian gelato cart will be perched on the corner of the square from August, dishing up gelato and sorbetto in a cone or cup to enjoy on the terrace or on the go.

Tavolino, London Bridge
Tavolino is set to open for the first time on 31st July. The kitchen will be headed up by Louis Korovilas, godson of Giorgio Locatelli and formerly head chef of Bancone. On the south bank of the Thames, Tavolino will be split across two floors with floor-to-ceiling windows and comes with a 70-seater outdoor terrace with views of the City and Tower of London. Parrillan, King’s Cross
Harts Group has reopened Parrillan, Barrafina, Casa Pastor and Plaza Pastor at Coal Drops Yard. It’s Parrillan we’re especially interested in, as it comes with a large, partially covered terrace. The relaunch menu includes a selection of para picar – including pan con tomate, escalivada and anchovies de l’escala – and guests will be able to cook their own ingredients on the parrilla grills, including red prawns, Iberian pork and milk-fed lamb kidneys. There will also be new rice dishes to share, including arroz negro with squid ink, buttifarra and artichoke, and arroz caldoso with lobster, langoustines and soupy rice. Best of all, the drinks menu sees the return of the dedicated G&T list – ideal for a summer celebration.
