Harvey James

associate editor at SLMan

Preferred coffee spot?

Either Lumberjack, Toad Bakery or FCB Coffee for a filter coffee.

Best meal you’ve had recently?

Lucky & Joy in Hackney. It’s a modern, fun and stylish Chinese restaurant where the cocktails are sublime, the service is warm, and the food is delicious.

Favourite store in London?

For delivering what I want at a price I want, it has to be COS. For delivering an experience more akin to a museum tour or art gallery experience, there’s LN-CC in Dalston.

Exercise of choice?

Very little at the moment, but generally it’s a mix of gym, squash, tennis, urban running (yup, just coined it) and trail running.

Podcast recommendations?

I’m obsessed with comedy podcasts. I love BudPod with Phil Wang and Pierre Novellie, Perfect Day with Jessica Knappett, and Wolf & Owl with Tom Davis and Romesh Ranganathan.

Go-to labels?

Found, COS and Barbour.

Dream car?

Either a Lancia Stratos, Lancia Delta Integrale or Audi Quattro.

Maiya Kati

model at SLMan & founder of YllCorp

Best meal you’ve had recently?

Steak and lobster at Steak & Lobster.

Exercise of choice?

I go to the gym. Bench press, press-ups, pull-ups. And I like to stretch in the morning.

Podcast recommendation?

There's a Caribbean podcast called Rated 18. They're dynamic. I feel it's just me, my friends and my uncle chilling and laughing. They’re always cussing each other. Nobody is safe. Someone will try to open up about something and they will turn it into a joke. That's just how it is with guys. That's how we deal with things.

Go-to labels?

I used to be heavily into Puma, but now I like Diesel, AllSaints and Levi's

Dream car?

Lamborghini Urus.

Joe Baker

commercial team at SLMan

Preferred coffee spot?

Some bougie, overpriced café like Jolene or Popham’s near Angel, which has this maple and bacon swirl. It’s so delicious. I tried to go yesterday but there were queues for days.

Best meal you’ve had recently?

Lunch at Koya in Soho. It just felt like really authentic Japanese food.

Favourite store in London?

My favourite place to shop is Redchurch Street in Shoreditch. There are cool stores around there like Club Monaco.

Exercise of choice?

Currently, I’m trying to work on my CrossFit, but I need to start running for the Hackney Half in May. I've done it without training before, so I'll be fine, but I need to start getting some long runs in. I also do yoga and Pilates.

Podcast recommendation?

I like Easy French because I’m learning the language, but also Modern Wisdom by Chris Williams depending on the guests they have, and The Rest Is Politics when I can bear to listen to Rory and Alastair.

Go-to labels?

Reiss, Massimo Dutti, and Lululemon for minimalist sports gear.

Dream car?

Mercedes 300 SL in silver or white.

Adam Burridge

head of creative at Luxe & Co.

Best meal you’ve had recently?

I recently went to this little Japanese place in Brixton Village called Temaki where they prepare everything in front of you. That was cool. I also went to Kricket in Brixton which was nice.

Favourite store in London?

Clutch Cafe. If I could afford it, I would buy most things from there. You’ve just got to be careful you don't go too far down into the Clutch aesthetic – you can become a walking pastiche of that person. But it’s great for jeans.

Exercise of choice?

A lot of walking, usually.

Go-to labels?

Our Legacy, though ideally about three years ago – it plays into streetwear a lot now but it’s still wicked. I found a cool brand in Copenhagen recently called Another Aspect. The whole setup is like Aimé Leon Dore but less on the nose of the trends and a little more timeless. American Vintage is amazing for knits.

Dream car?

One of the older Land Rover Defenders.

Tunde Ogunsina

founder of Forest Colard & SLMan contributor

Best meal you’ve had recently?

It was at Nipotina in Mayfair. It’s Italian, it’s small and it’s very fairly priced.

Favourite store in London?

It would have to be Our Legacy. The store is great. It's always empty, but it's not because they don't sell. It just feels like you've got a personal appointment, which I like.

Exercise of choice?

Weight training. But then on the weekends I will run, probably 10km on Saturday, and spin on a Sunday.

Podcast recommendation?

Ladies Who Launch by Rochelle Humes. Everyone should listen to that.

Go-to labels?

Duke & Dexter. Big up, Archie. I'm also gonna have to say Uniqlo. It has these women's trousers a lot of men wear. I didn't want to get sucked in, but I've bought a pair and they’re great. They sit on your waist nicely and they've got a nice silhouette. Uniqlo also has great socks. And can I say Zara? I think I'm quite good at finding cool pieces there that look like they're not from there. That’s why I love it.

Dream car?

I've always wanted a classic Aston Martin. I could have said Lamborghini though – I do love an Urus. When I'm 35 and I've got six other cars, an Urus would be an addition.
