DO Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable
Your glasses are on your face for most hours of the day, so wearing something you feel happy in is key.
DO Try retro-inspired frames
The 70s are having a moment right now. You can nod to the trend with colour (look for vintage tortoiseshell) or in the shape – we’re seeing a lot of customers go for an oversized style.
DON'T wear glasses without a prescription
It’s a bad trend. Period.
DON’T let your prescription dictate your style
In rare instances, where the prescription lenses are thick and you want very thin delicate glasses, this may hinder the look of the frame. But this is nothing that some thinning of the lens won’t sort.
DO break up a square face with a more rounded design
And vice versa: if you’ve got a round face, a square frame is a good idea. That said, whenever somebody asks what will suit them, our response is always that the person who should like your glasses most of all is you.
DO GO FOR classic tortoiseshell
It’s a look you can’t beat. This beautiful material changes with the light and really gives glasses a refined look.
DON’T push your glasses onto the top of your head
It’s a hard habit to break, but this will keep the frame from losing its shape. Also, keep your glasses in a case when you aren’t wearing them, and always use a specific lens spray when cleaning your frame to avoid damaging the lens.
