There’s A New Swiss Watch To Know
The Concept
The Concept One is the sixth watch in a groundbreaking series from Victorinox that merges minimalism with powerful functionality. It carries into uncharted territory the cultural DNA of Victorinox’s famous Swiss Army Knife – of being ready for what matters most, when it matters most.
The Movements
The Concept One is Victorinox’s first solar watch – a smart, sustainable solution to the enduring problem of power. It hides a Swiss-made Ronda 215 solar movement with an 8-year battery life. Just one minute of sunlight is enough to engage the quick-start function from a fully discharged movement, while a power reserve can maintain operation for up to eight months in total darkness.
The other movement is a Swiss-made La Joux-Perret G100 automatic movement with a 68-hour power reserve, meaning the watch can be left unwound over a weekend with no need to reset it on Monday. This makes it a real contender for your next daily office watch.
The Design
The Concept One embodies a design confidence and pride in its Swiss mechanics and heritage. A plain curved dial defines the solar-powered model, while a technical-looking vertically brushed dial signifies an automatic model. The pair share the same sunray-satin bezel, inner sloped hexagonal shape, 100m water resistance, luminescent indexes and hands, and double anti-shock protection.
