SUNGLASSES: OLIVER PEOPLES CARY GRANT 2
Alfred Hitchcock’s North By Northwest is one of the best films of all time. It also happens to feature one of the best wardrobes of all time. Cary Grant’s single-breasted grey suit gets a lot of the attention, but Oliver Peoples has noticed how good his sunnies were too. The Hollywood-based brand has just dropped the Cary Grant 2 in four colourways, including the great man’s signature tortoise.

FOOD DELIVERY: DAVIES AND BROOK TO GO
Swiss chef Daniel Humm is one of the very few to have earned three Michelin stars – for NYC’s Eleven Madison Park. His first London restaurant, Davies and Brook, opened within Claridge’s at the very end of last year, but has of course been shut recently. In its place, Humm is offering ‘To Go’ versions of his CFC (Claridge’s Fried Chicken), its vegetarian equivalent (featuring cauliflower) and a Lobster & Shrimp Boil summer sharing dish. Prices start at £35 for a single-person box, which comes with assorted side dishes and a dessert.

BOOK: WE SHALL OVERCOME
In the 60s, American writer James Baldwin made waves with The Fire Next Time, a powerful and personal account of the black experience in the States. Taschen recently reprinted this ever-relevant work alongside more than 100 photographs by Steve Schapiro, who travelled around the Deep South with Baldwin on an assignment with Life magazine. Schapiro’s pictures include iconic images of Martin Luther King and Rosa Parks. First published as a collector’s edition, We Shall Overcome is now available as a more accessibly priced popular edition (£40).

COFFEE: BARISTA & CO
A rapid brewing method means Barista & Co’s Twist Press maker can deliver fresh coffee in as little as 60 seconds. Available at Selfridges, its innovative twist motion reduces the risk of spills by removing the need for downward pressure on the cup beneath. It’s versatile too: use a paper filter for clean, light-bodied brews or a metal filter for textured, full-bodied cafetiere-style coffee.
