Three years after winning Squid Game, Player 456 returns with a new resolution in his mind. Gi-hun once again dives into the mysterious survival game, starting another life-or-death game with new participants gathered to win the prize of 456 billion won. Director Hwang Dong-hyuk, who made history becoming the first Asian to win an Emmy for Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series, will return as director, writer and producer – with Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun, Wi Ha-jun, and Gong Yoo reprising their roles from series one.

An adaptation of the literary masterpiece by Nobel prize-winning author Gabriel García Márquez is set to arrive on Netflix by the end of the year.
