Learn From The Pros
From The Ashes & The Five Points Brew Co.
BBQ street-food sensation From The Ashes is now one of London’s most anticipated pop-ups in the foodie calendar. For 2024, after many requests from fans, From The Ashes is launching a series of butchery masterclasses at east London’s The Five Points Brew Co. The first – on 15th August – will focus on beef, demonstrating all the different prime cuts you can take from the roasting joint, the different textures and flavours from each cut, and the preferred cooking method for each piece. Also included in the experience is a brewery tour with beer tastings, finishing up with a steak supper, tasting all the different cuts featured in the demo.

Try A Cult Burger
Gasoline Grill X The Standard
Copenhagen's cult-favourite smash burger restaurant Gasoline Grill has popped up at The Standard. Deemed to be making 'the best burger in Europe' by social media foodies, this is the Gasoline Grill’s first international residency, having started out in 2016 inside an operational gas station on a side street in Denmark’s capital. Staying true to those humble origins, the menu features a selection of unpretentious smash burgers as well as a new limited-edition surf and turf burger. And to drink? The pop-up has teamed up with local brewery Two Tribes to create a frozen peach slushy with an IPA top, as well as a strawberry and jalapeño michelada – a beer-based cocktail.

Start Your Weekend Right
The Tamil Prince Breakfast
Combining two great British loves – Indian cuisine and the pub – The Tamil Prince has become a much-loved staple for north Londoners in just two years. Now, the team has expanded its repertoire to include a weekend morning service – available 9-11am every Saturday and Sunday. Recreating some South Indian breakfast dishes, the all-vegetarian menu includes madhu vadai, a soft, fried doughnut served with sambar and coconut chutney; poori masala, a dish of curried potatoes and fresh coconut chutney served with poori, an Indian fried bread; and pan-fried dumplings made with fermented idli batter, jaggery, raw coconut and cardamom powder. To wash it down, there’s fresh orange juice, South Indian coffee and masala tea.

LISTEN TO LIVE MUSIC
The George
The George in Fitzrovia is bringing live music to your weekends with its Summer Sessions, in partnership with Tidal Rum. Every Friday from 5pm and Saturday from 8pm, guests can enjoy a different live act each week while tucking into bar snacks and drinks. Post-performance, head to the main dining room to enjoy larger dishes from the main menu. We recommend a selection of classic pub starters, before tucking into fish and chips, sirloin steak with peppercorn sauce, or a fried chicken sandwich. All events are free to attend, so don’t delay getting your pals involved.
